Customer Service Executive - Container Transport

Salary: Up to £35,000 per year + Bonus Scheme

I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Executive to join a fast-paced transport team based in Grays, Essex. Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support to key container transport customers
Manage and update bookings using TMS (Transport Management Systems)
Handle port slot queries and updates using VBS (Vehicle Booking System)
Use online shipping line portals to check container statuses and instructions
Work closely with planners, drivers, and port contacts to resolve any service issues
Keep customers informed of delivery schedules, changes, and delays
Process container restitution updates and resolve any related queries
Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in customer service within container transport or logistics (essential)
Strong working knowledge of VBS, TMS, and shipping line online portals
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Confident, proactive, and detail-oriented
