Your role:
This is an exciting new position within the Integrated Transport Unit. The Senior Transport will manage the team of Transport Officers, to ensure the safe and efficient transport for both Home to School and Adult Social Care Transport Services.
The Senior Transport Officer will lead the service in Positive Behaviour Support strategies, developing a greater understanding around supporting individuals with SEND.
Further to this the Senior Transport Officer will take the lead in reviewing existing transport services to identify and then implement eligibility reviews to maximise capacity.
About you:
The Senior Transport Officer will have a passion and practical knowledge of supporting individual’s with SEND, and tailoring Positive Behaviour Support strategies to meet individual needs.
You will have experience in leading a team, with a record of delivering service improvement and identifying and implementing effective processes.
Strong communication skills will be essential in this role to bring all the key people together in delivering the right service and support.
Strong IT skills and the ability to analyse data to determine strategies will be essential.
An enhanced DBS will be required for this post.

The Integrated Transport Unit arranges and manages Home to School Transport for children with SEND as well as Adult Social Care Transport to day provision. This role will be critical in supporting the team in developing greater SEND support and realise our vision of delivering excellent services.
Our service runs from Monday to Friday, and while there is a degree of flexibility the team are expected to work between the core business hours of 7am to 5pm.
