Mechanical Assembler – Location: Abingdon | Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 per annum | Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm | Type: Full-time, Permanent
What You'll Be Doing
* Assembling mechanical and electrical components
* Assisting in test setups, instrumentation, and data collection
* Conducting inspections and troubleshooting
* Collaborating with engineers on quality and process improvement
* Maintaining production records, inventory, and purchasing logs
* Driving improvements in safety, efficiency, and cost
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Solid experience with mechanical assembly
* Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality systems
Desirable:
* Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
* Background in scaling up assembly systems or manufacturing facilities
* Familiarity with drafting SOPs and improving manufacturing processes
