The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will undertake a 12-month development program designed to give you comprehensive experience in operational, service, and leadership standards, preparing you to become a future Store Manager. You will follow a structured career pathway training program with the support of your Store Manager, setting you up for success.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, our Customers are at the heart of everything we do. You will act as an ambassador for your store, supporting your team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and improving KPI metrics.
* Deliver exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
* Provide a VIP concierge service, proactively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
* Promote our products passionately, managing tasting events and creating an enticing tasting counter.
* Enhance your wine knowledge to support your WSET qualifications and confidence in sales.
* Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards internally and externally.
* Participate in operational tasks such as stock deliveries, merchandising, and customer outreach to drive sales.
* Identify and implement improvements to operational efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements.
* Own your personal development, leveraging available resources and support.
* Lead by example, embodying Majestic’s Ways of Working and supporting junior team members.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment as part of a team.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Ability to prioritise and solve problems strategically under pressure.
* Self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
* Positive attitude with a passion for problem-solving.
* Adaptability and resilience to business changes.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* Passion for learning about wine; willingness to achieve WSET levels 2 & 3.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
