The Parish Council wishes to appoint a MUGA operative to undertake the opening, secure closing and overseeing of the Parish Councils Sports facilities.
This post will be on a zero hours contract basis, working evenings and weekends, dependent on bookings.
Hours of work are variable with a maximum of 15 per week but are not guaranteed. Additional hours covering holidays and absences of the ground staff may be available to the right applicant.
MAIN DUTIES
To undertake the opening, secure closing and overseeing of the Parish Councils sports facilities.
To advise and ensure safe and proper use of the facilities by members of the public and report any possible breaches to the office. Issue of receipts for bookings and collection of cash as required.
To ensure all cash is kept in a secure way and taken to the office for banking as soon as possible.
To communicate with the public and work colleagues in a courteous, respectful and appropriate manner in order to maintain good relationships.
To act as a point of contact for future bookings.
ANCILLARY DUTIES
General maintenance of the surrounding grounds, car park, MUGA and tennis courts to include litter picking and weeding of the area and simple site evaluation and preparation before use, including switching on/off lighting when required.
General cleaning duties to ensure the Pavilion, Kitchen and Shower area is clean and tidy and that any issues are reported to the office as soon as possible.
To complete a daily work log provided by the Council for monitoring purposes, recording accurately the hours worked and any monies received (Lone Worker Risk) Any other duties that may commensurate with the post and in consultation with the Parish clerk or appointed deputy. To observe all Health and Safety requirements relevant to the role.

Pay: £12.21-£12.46 per hour
