The Role
An opportunity now exists for a hands‑on, commercially focused UK qualified solicitor to join the expanding in‑house legal team, working alongside the Head of Legal from our West Yorkshire HQ (hybrid working 2 days in office). You’ll work closely with multiple teams across the business to advise on commercial contracts and help the business navigate complex legal issues while enabling growth.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts—including customer agreements, supplier terms and service‑level agreements—as well as providing active advice on contract interpretation, risk mitigation and the legal implications of business decisions.
You’ll collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Procurement, Compliance, Product, Insurance and Finance, to provide pragmatic legal advice and contribute to the development of legal templates and internal training.
The Person
* Qualified solicitor with 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience in commercial law and proven ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts.
* Working knowledge of Data Protection is useful, but not essential.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the business.
* A proactive mindset, capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
