About the Service – Cragside House Cragside House is a small, friendly supported living service with a strong focus on independence, routine, and meaningful activities. We are looking for kind, energetic and down-to-earth Support Workers to join us from the very start. Everything is within walking distance, so this is a really hands-on, active role — not one where you’re stuck indoors all day. Support is provided 24 hours a day, including day shifts and waking night shifts. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable. Requirements Ability to work days, evenings, alternative weekends and bank holidaysExperience of supporting adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex NeedsEnhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)Good communication and written skillsAbility to keep calm under pressureConfidence to work alone and also be part of a team (family)Experience with autism, epilepsy or challenging behaviour is great, but not essential — attitude matters more than experience.
