We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support the UK Safety+ and Retail & Leisure Operations teams in delivering high-quality health and safety advice, assurance, and auditing services across a large and diverse retail and leisure property portfolio.
The role covers approximately 130 sites nationwide and requires significant travel across the UK. You will play a key role in ensuring statutory compliance, best practice, and continuous improvement across this portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical health and safety advice to internal teams, managing agents, and clients across the retail and leisure portfolio
* Carry out health and safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across c.130 sites nationwide
* Support operational teams in the implementation and monitoring of health and safety management systems
* Advise on compliance with relevant legislation including HSWA, CDM, fire safety, contractor management, and risk management
* Review incidents, accidents, and near misses, providing investigation support and corrective action plans
* Support the development and delivery of health and safety training and guidance
* Work closely with stakeholders including property managers, retailers, contractors, and clients to promote a strong safety culture
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and portfolio-wide safety strategies
About You
* Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within retail, leisure, property, or a multi-site environment
* Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practice
* Comfortable managing a large, geographically dispersed portfolio with extensive travel
* Experience delivering audits, inspections, and advisory services
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities
Desirable Qualifications
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable)
* Membership of IOSH (or working towards)
