Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality while fostering a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
* Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and menu execution
* Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
* Maintain cost control measures while ensuring quality standards are met
Experience
* Proven experience in a Head Chef or similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
* Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
* Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team
* Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Culinary qualifications or relevant training are advantageous
* Previous experience in menu development and cost management is preferred
