I am working with a multi-award-winning, nationwide service provider based in Blackburn, who are now looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller, to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis. This organisation have grown year on year, naturally growing whilst alsopleting numerous acquisitions and now reporting a financial turnover of £200M. You will be joining a team of 8 Credit Controllers, 6 of who have been placed by Hays over the last 5 years. They have an excellent rate of staff retention within their finance team and are led by a successful, friendly and supportive Credit Manager.
Your new role
In your new role of Credit Controller, you will manage your own aged debt ledger, chase customers daily, and run reports from the ERP system, SAP. You'll work closely with managers, directors, and finane team to update and share aged debt reports, allocate cash receipts and cheques, and ensure transparent information is uploaded to Microsoft Teams. Additionally, you'll assist with management reports, ad hoc projects for the Head of Finance Operations, liaise with the Accounting team at Head Office, and support the integration of credit control tasks for new acquisitions. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday with flexible working hours.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you must have prior experience in Credit Control and working with various sections of Finance. Teamwork is crucial, along with proficiency in MS Excel, particularly with pivot tables and lookups. Familiarity with financial systems, especially SAP, is advantageous. Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills are essential, as well as a flexible, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.
