Flexi-time is available and there is onsite parking. 25 days holidays and 8 bank holidays 5% pension Private healthcare and2 x base salary life insurance DUTIES FOR THE PRODUCTION ENGINEER The design of fixtures, sourcing tooling and producing stage drawings, SOPs, training manuals andoperation procedures. Creation of engineering documentation and bills of materials using 3D Solidworks and 2D AutoCAD. Ensure all pre-production activities, including creation of stage drawings, bills and routes, writing of machine programs, identification of tooling requirements, and the design of fixtures, are completed effectively and in a timely manner to support production plans. Participate in feasibility reviews for new parts to evaluate and determine manufacturing methods required and ensure that any exceptions or design changes that will be required prior to quotation and sign off. Drive improvements in production processes using continuous improvement methodology whilst developing methods and processes. Deliver technical training to production operators to develop their skills and capabilities and increase product and process knowledge team working. Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS A PRODUCTION ENGINEER YOU WILL NEED:- HND/degree in a suitable engineering/manufacturing discipline Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques, anodising, welding, heat treatment, painting, additive, machining, cutting, folding and NDT requirements.
