What the job involves The job involves working as an AMHP within the Adult Social Work Mental Health Team, participating in Mental Health Act Assessments, and collaborating with multi-agency partnerships. You will be responsible for the statutory assessment of individuals' social, psychological, and physical care needs and managing case loads. The role includes developing support plans to promote choice, control, and independence, while managing complex cases in compliance with legal frameworks. Additionally, you’ll provide expert supervision and guidance to social work colleagues, support service users, manage critical partnerships, and contribute to continuous service improvement and planning. Skills Social Work Degree or equivalent (HCPC Registered) Warranted Approved Mental Health Professional Expert knowledge of Mental Health Act, Care Act, and related legislation Strong case management and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication Leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities Ability to work independently and handle complex cases Experience with risk management and partnership working Proficiency with Case Management systems
