Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a proactive local authority, based in Herefordshire, which is in need of a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their team. You will be joining a small team of lawyers dealing with a variety of matters, primarily contracts, grants, procurement and company law.
Role: Commercial Contracts Lawyer
Location: Herefordshire, remote!
Rate: £45ph-£50ph umbrella
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing, 37 hours a week
The Role:
1. Handle a mixed caseload of subsidy control, company law, contract law and drafting a wide range of contracts including standard build contracts such as JCT or NEC4.
2. When required, deputise for more senior members of the team
3. Carry out any duties required for the successful running of the contracts and major projects team
The Person:
4. A qualified barrister, solicitor or legal executive who is a fellow of CiLEX with an impressive knowledge of contract and company law
5. You will be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of subsidy control, company law, contract law and drafting a wide range of contracts including standard build contracts such as JCT or NEC4. This will ideally have been within the public sector.
6. Knowledge of Data Protection legislation would be an advantage but not essential.
