An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 physiotherapist to work within the Spasticity Management and Neurodisability Service at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Band 7 physiotherapist to join the team. The post holder will work closely with the Consultant Physiotherapist and the wider spasticity MDT Team.
This position offers the opportunity to further advance skills in the assessment and management of patients with spasticity and cerebral palsy.
Effective communication and a positive approach to the management of complex disability are essential.
Regular supervision and support for continued professional development is offered, and the opportunity to work with the team on current research and audit projects.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the physiotherapy team working within a specialist neurological hospital, providing a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice for patients with acute, chronic and progressive neuro-disability. The post holder is responsible for the provision of a physiotherapy service within the Neurodisability and Spasticity Management Services and reports directly to the Consultant in Physiotherapy. They work collaboratively within integrated multidisciplinary teams to offer a comprehensive patient centred service
