Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:00
Contract Type: Temporary with potential for long-term work
We are currently recruiting for a Recycling Operative on behalf of a well-established recycling facility located near outside Colchester. This is a hands-on role that contributes directly to reducing landfill waste and promoting sustainable practices.
Please note: Own transport is essential due to the site's location and lack of public transport.
Key Duties of the Recycling Operative:
1. Manually sorting recyclable materials on a fast-paced line
2. Assisting in quality control to ensure correct separation of waste streams
3. Light manual handling
4. Supporting the wider team to achieve daily throughput targets
5. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Candidate Requirements for the Recycling Operative:
6. Previous experience in a manufacturing and production, warehouse, or recycling environment preferred
7. Physically fit and comfortable with standing for long periods
8. Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexibly
9. Must have access to own transport
