Purpose of Job
The Analyst will be responsible for integrating the Bank's Green Economy Transition (GET) approach into Banking operations. Reporting to an Associate Director in the Green Financial Systems team of the Climate Strategy and Delivery Business Group, the role includes leading GET delivery via financial institutions, including Paris Alignment and Climate Corporate Governance at the transaction level. The role covers technical cooperation management, policy dialogue activities, and capacity building. The Analyst will handle all tasks related to the EBRD project lifecycle, including origination, structuring, execution, monitoring, and donor financing. Additionally, the Analyst will support projects related to greening the financial system.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
1. Support the development of new green financial products and contribute to project structuring, execution, and monitoring, with a focus on the Green Trade Finance Programme.
2. Undertake marketing and business development efforts to build market contacts, develop deal flow, and promote the Bank's competencies.
3. Assist in identifying and structuring Green Economy Transition components for investments, focusing on Green and Sustainability bonds.
4. Support due diligence processes to ensure compliance with Bank standards.
5. Contribute to policy dialogue projects with local authorities and industry associations to improve the investment climate and enhance the Bank's impact.
6. Manage outsourced assignments for technical and policy services, including project preparation and monitoring.
7. Provide support with documentation, meetings, grant procurement, and policy dialogue efforts.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Relevant degree in engineering, economics, or related technical field; a mix of technical and commercial skills is advantageous.
* Significant experience from engineering, consultancy, energy, chemical, manufacturing sectors, or financial institutions, with a successful project development record.
* Knowledge of green finance initiatives, green trade finance, green bonds, and the financial sector.
* Experience managing consultants and implementing IT solutions.
* Understanding of business and finance principles.
* Knowledge of policy analysis in climate change, resource and energy efficiency, and technology transfer.
* Experience in emerging markets, including EBRD countries.
* Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
* Ability to operate within business ethics, work in multicultural environments, and build effective relationships.
* Self-motivated with strong planning skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* Effective verbal and written communication tailored to the audience.
