Sales Executive – Field Sales (Convenience)
Full time, permanent
Salary: £30,000 per annum (up to £36,000/annum OTE) + van and fuel card
Working: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Locations: London - Merton, Wandsworth, Kingston upon Thames and surrounds
Smollan is partnering with Red Star, a fast‑growing UK FMCG distributor, creating a brand‑new field sales team to increase visibility, distribution, and sales across the convenience channel.
As a Sales Executive, you’ll be at the heart of this launch, managing your own territory, representing an exciting portfolio of brands, and reporting directly to the Red Star client team, giving exposure, autonomy, and the chance to influence results from day one.
You’ll call on independent convenience stores and selected symbol groups, working to a structured call file while prospecting for new opportunities and filling distribution gaps.
What you’ll be doing:
* Building strong, long‑lasting relationships with store owners and key decision‑makers
* Increasing distribution across Red Star’s brand portfolio
* Driving additional sales through effective selling, visibility and ranging
* Managing your territory and call file to maximise coverage and impact
* Prospecting new stores and identifying untapped opportunities
* Acting as the face of the brands in your area – professional, knowledgeable, and trusted
What we’re looking for:
* A full UK driving licence for at least 12 months
* Previous field sales or convenience retail experience
* Confidence building relationships and selling face‑to‑face
* Comfortable managing a territory and working independently
* A proactive approach to prospecting and problem‑solving
* Ambition to grow, develop and be part of something being built
