Job Description
Join a high-impact Global I&O team shaping the future of FUJIFILM Biotechnologies' mission-critical cloud infrastructure. As our Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be the technical lead for cloud platforms powering IT and OT across the globe—designing secure, resilient, and scalable solutions that keep our business always‑on and future‑ready.
What you’ll do
* Lead the design, build, and operation of global Cloud services across AWS and Azure—including secure, scalable cloud‑native platforms and AWS Landing Zones.
* Own day-to-day service reliability for our global cloud estate across compute, storage, networking, and platform services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), delivering 4th‑line support when needed.
* Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform or CloudFormation; automate provisioning and configuration at scale.
* Implement security‑by‑design (IAM, encryption, zero‑trust) and ensure alignment to security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000).
* Build monitoring and observability with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch to ensure performance and uptime.
* Translate architecture into operationalized cloud services; lead deployments of new cloud technologies, systems, and services into production.
* Guide cloud migration strategies (on‑prem to cloud/hybrid), cost optimization, governance, and compliance.
* Partner with senior stakeholders globally, vendors, and cross‑functional teams to align IT/OT objectives, define best practices, and meet AIS metrics pre‑go‑live.
* Contribute to audits, documentation, and technical roadmaps; provide BAU technical governance for projects and solution design.
* Other duties assigned from time to time.
Minimum qualifications (education and experience)
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant technical certifications; or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
* 12+ years’ experience in an IT 3rd/4th line position with a proven track record in an enterprise Cloud environment, OR 5+ years’ experience working in a biomedical IT service environment.
* Experience designing distributed systems and microservices architecture.
* Proven experience managing production cloud environments.
* Experience with DevOps practices and agile methodologies.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
* Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
What you’ll bring
* Deep expertise with AWS and/or Azure services and cloud platform design.
* Strong scripting/coding skills (Python, Bash); containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
* Solid networking fundamentals (VPCs, load balancers, DNS) and secrets management.
* Familiarity with monitoring/observability (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
* Ability to communicate complex architectures to technical and non‑technical audiences; influence across teams and regions.
* Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or DevOps Engineer are advantageous.
