Overview
Hours: Full time – 36 hours per week. Four days per week (28.8 hours) may be considered. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registered Pharmacy Technician to join our expanding Primary Care Pharmacotherapy Team within the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP). The successful candidate will be employed to work within the bounds of Aberdeen City and specific practices/locations may be subject to change.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with pharmacy colleagues to support the delivery of the pharmacotherapy service outlined in the 2018 GMS Contract for Scotland.
* Carry out medication compliance reviews, deal with pharmaceutical queries (e.g. shortages), medicines reconciliation and medication management advice for patients and carers.
* Contribute to medicines management to ensure safe and effective use of medicines in line with local and national guidelines, including formulary adherence and review of prescribing data.
Qualifications and requirements
* Background in primary care, community or hospital pharmacy is acceptable; however, current registration with the GPhC is essential.
* Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential.
* Full driving license and use of a car is essential.
* Some locations may be in the Aberdeen City Low Emission Zone; if you enter LEZ in a non-compliant car you will be responsible for all costs associated with entering the LEZ.
