Salary: Up to £90K, dependent on experience
Location: Nottinghamshire
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Mondays and Tuesdays at Head Office, rest from home)
Our client, a respected financial services organization specializing in Mortgage & Savings, is recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller for a 6-month period due to restructuring. Immediate availability is required. The role involves managing a team of 4, overseeing financial operations including treasury back office, accounts payable, payments, and reconciliations. Responsibilities include financial reporting, risk management, compliance, auditing, and tax support.
Responsibilities:
* Manage month and year-end reporting, liaising with auditors.
* Control of ALMIS system and treasury operations.
* Understand and sign off regulatory returns in the absence of the FD.
* Prepare reports for the Board and committees.
* Produce ICAAP and Recovery Plan if needed.
* Oversee FRS 102 reporting, bad debt provision, hedge accounting, and compliance with lease accounting changes.
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years PQE.
* Experience in PRA-regulated financial services, preferably mortgage lending.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Knowledge of PRA regulations, ICAAP & ILAAP.
* Understanding of ALMIS treasury system.
* Excel and Management Information skills.
