Job Role: Performance Team Leader (Restart Programme)Location: WorthingSalary: £30,000 per annumContract: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)Role OverviewWe are recruiting an experienced and driven Performance Team Leader to lead a team of Employment / Work Coaches delivering on the Restart programme in Worthing.As a Performance Team Leader, you will be responsible for driving team performance, quality standards and participant outcomes across the contract. You will lead from the front, managing team capability while also maintaining a small caseload, ensuring participants receive high-quality, tailored support to achieve sustainable employment.This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong coaching, performance management and stakeholder awareness, ideal for someone who thrives in a target-driven, customer-focused environment and is passionate about making a measurable impact.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Performance ManagementLead, motivate and develop a team of Work Coaches to drive performance and quality outcomesDeliver against agreed KPIs, performance and service delivery targetsConduct regular caseload and performance reviews to improve team capabilitySupport underperforming team members through coaching, guidance and interventionLead by example to inspire a high-performance, outcome-focused cultureParticipant & Delivery SupportManage a personal caseload of participants and support them into sustainable employmentEnsure all participants receive consistent, high-quality support aligned to programme expectationsSupport the team to remove barriers to employment and achieve positive outcomesIdentify and promote suitable employment opportunities for participantsQuality, Compliance & Customer ExperienceEnsure all participant records, documentation and systems are maintained accuratelyMaintain strong customer service standards across the teamEnsure delivery meets quality, compliance and audit expectationsSupport preparation for contract reviews and performance reportingStakeholder & Labour Market AwarenessMaintain a strong understanding of the local labour market and employer demandSupport vacancy identification and employer engagement activityWork collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to maximise outcomesEssential CriteriaProven experience managing a team in a target-driven, customer-focused environmentStrong leadership, coaching and performance management capabilityExperience working within employability, welfare-to-work or similar sectorsAbility to drive performance against KPIs and operational targetsStrong communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skillsGood understanding of employment legislation and equality, diversity and inclusionAbility to interpret performance data and understand financial driversDesirable CriteriaExperience delivering on the Restart programme or similar DWP-funded contractsKnowledge of the local labour marketLevel 5 qualification in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)Personal AttributesDriven, proactive and outcome-focusedEnergetic and able to motivate othersResilient and able to work under pressureProfessional, confident and compassionate approachFlexible and adaptable to changeStrong integrity and customer focusBenefits25 days annual leave plus 8 Bank HolidaysOpportunity to lead a high-impact employability programmeOngoing professional development and progression opportunitiesAdditional InformationEnhanced DBS required (paid by employer)Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle requiredOccasional flexibility required to meet business needsHow to ApplyFor more information or to apply for the Performance Team Leader role, please contact:Robert Rowe 07935 141342TPBN1_UKTJ
