We are hiring a Commercial Business Analyst Lead to lead a small team of Senior Business Analysts on a client account, providing OneSource Services. This role will be responsible for ensuring client budgeting and billing are conducted in line with contract requirements. The lead will act as the conduit between the account team and PerkinElmer finance team to ensure client budget and P&L alignment.
This role will be hybrid, working from our client's site in Stevenage. Travel will be required to the USA at year-end (January) and during budget setting (May-June) for a couple of weeks each time, plus ad hoc other travel.
Job Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of 2 Business Analysts based in UK and US responsible for monthly reporting and completing documents to ensure budgetary impacts are approved through the governed process.
* Support broader OneSource innovation initiatives to improve lab optimization and reduce costs.
* Assist with analysis, recommendations, and cost savings validation discussions with the client, aligned with customer cost savings goals.
* Build a thorough understanding of the client, their business, processes, and instruments to meet their business goals.
* Demonstrate financial acumen, including understanding financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow), financial ratios, cost structures, and KPIs.
* Demonstrate leadership by collaborating effectively, articulating ideas, managing resources, resolving issues, and holding self and team accountable.
* Note: Management reserves the right to reassign duties as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance, or 10+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Reporting, and Data Analytics.
* 5+ years of experience posting to financial journals.
* Experience in tracking, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
* Project Management experience and success in Continuous Improvement.
* Leadership skills with experience managing teams and interfacing with clients.
* Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including Macros, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience with Data Visualization Software.
* Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
* Knowledge of EAM and CMMS systems.
* Experience in a service organization within a laboratory environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
* Proven ability to visualize, plan, and implement processes.
* Results-oriented with a bias for action, capable of tackling tough problems under tight deadlines.
* Willingness to travel as required by the business.
