Location: Kingswells Care Home Duration: Permanent x 2 Part time positions, 24.5 hours General Assistant Job Purpose: To undertake all necessary general and specific duties, ensuring a clean, safe and tidy environment using, where appropriate, specific equipment and PPE This post is within Kingswells Care Home, covering general assistant tasks as required. Experience essential. 2 week rolling rota, working every second weekend. Shifts times 0730-1500, 24.5 hours per week. Week one: Monday/Tuesday/Saturday/Sunday. Week 2: Wednesday/Thursday/Friday. Requirements The post holder needs to hold as a minimum: Experience of general assistant support in a customer focused environment Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme Record (PVG) or willing to become a scheme member The post holder will be expected to: Work at weekends and within a 7 day shift pattern Responsibilities The post holder needs to be able to demonstrate an understanding or experience of: Health and safety awareness Safe use of a range of food preparation equipment The needs of older people Operating a range cleaning equipment Interpersonal skills; communication, Able to operate kitchen equipment Using your initiative The Individual Please see Job Profile for further details.
