Overview
We are looking for bright, enthusiastic, and open-minded individuals to join our friendly team in Cardiff to deliver the exciting multi-billion-pound pipeline of work that is required by the UK Water Authorities during AMP 8 and beyond. Working within a dynamic team and overseen by a Senior Engineer and Principal Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of the Civil Engineering design on a range of challenging projects across the water sector including but not limited to: New and replacement potable water mains, foul drainage including CSO remediation works, and both Sustainable Urban Drainage and conventional surface water drainage design. Responsibilities
Contribute to the delivery of Civil Engineering design on a range of water sector projects, including potable water mains, foul drainage (including CSO remediation), Sustainable Urban Drainage, and conventional surface water drainage design. Collaborate with the project team and provide technical input under the direction of Senior/Principal Engineers. Manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritise tasks and deliverables, and ensure effective delivery to clients.
Qualifications & Skills
* 3+ years experience in the Water Industry with potable, surface, and foul water design and/or construction
* Civil Engineering degree; preferably a Masters
* Progress toward, or attainment of, Professional Qualification with the Institution of Civil Engineers or Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management
* Adept at 3D design and modelling using software such as MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage
* Experience with Water Authority statutory approval processes such as S104, S106, etc.
* SuDS Approval Body involvement
* Ability to manage concurrent projects, prioritise tasks, and deliverables for effective delivery
* Ability to work using own initiative with a methodical approach
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work well independently and as part of a team
