Technical Engineering Manager - Subsidence
Position: Engineering & Technical Manager – Subsidence
Type: Permanent – Fully Remote
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Responsibilities
* Oversee complex insurance claims, guiding your team to deliver accurate assessments and effective solutions.
* Occasionally support surveying services and visit damaged properties to evaluate technical and insurance requirements for reinstating buildings.
* Drive operational efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer care.
* Lead and develop a team of desk‑based engineers and a technical field team.
* Attend client meetings and represent the company professionally.
* Drive performance to meet SLA targets and audit requirements.Provide training and technical guidance to internal teams and external surveyor networks.
* Produce management information on a monthly basis.
* Manage a portfolio of complex subsidence claims from inspection to resolution.
* Promote best practice and continuous improvement within the Subsidence Operations team.
* Understand, implement and comply with company procedures and policies and actively promote the principle of treating customers fairly.
Experience
* Educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline (Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying or similar).
* Excellent communication skills and articulation.
* Understanding and recognition of Customer Service and Quality.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced and changing environment.
* Reports to: Head of Subsidence and Surveying.
* Liaison with Directors, Associate Directors, Managers, Loss Adjusters, Support Staff, Clients, Customers, Suppliers as necessary.
