Acumen Automotive Logistics Ltd are currently looking to recruit an experienced HGV Workshop Technician into our Coventry team. You will provide these services from the workshop. As part of our Workshop Technician team, you will be working in a busy workshop environment undertaking all levels of maintenance and repairs as well as completing standard servicing and diagnostics in what is an exciting and rewarding environment.
Essentially you will have previous experience and a competent understanding of:
· Routine safety/maintenance inspections in-line with the DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness,
· Engine and Vehicle Servicing
· MOT preparation
· Diagnostic and Mechanical repair work at HGV level
· NVQL3 HGV qualification or similar / time served
Desirably you will have (although not essential as training will be provided):
· An IRTEC accreditation
· HGV C+E Driving Licence
· Knowledge of working on/with Car Transporter
· Knowledge of LOLER testing and examinations
· Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical lifting systems
· Knowledge of working with R2C Workshop systems
Typically, your main duties and responsibilities will be:
· Carry out routine inspections, maintenance service and repairs on various HGVs to a high standard maintaining a clean and tidy workspace
· Respond to and carry out a wide range of defect repairs in a timely and proficient manner
· Carry out fault diagnosis and rectification using diagnostic systems and tooling.
· Use on-line job management systems (R2C) to complete job cards and service sheets diligently and effectively in a timely manner.
· Respond to roadside and operational field breakdowns during operational hours and occasional out of hours as required.
