Lead Travel Information Officer (Data) £29,989 per annum (pay award pending) - Grade 4 Leeds / Hybrid Full time / Fixed term up to 12 months We are currently seeking a Lead Travel Information Officer (Data) to join our Travel Information team within the Passenger Experience directorate. With the Mayor’s decision to bring bus services back under local control, there’s never been a more exciting time to join our team. As a key member of the Travel Information Team, you will play an important role in supporting the transition to a franchised bus network, helping to shape the future of public transport across West Yorkshire. As Lead Travel Information Officer (Data), you will be responsible for entering and managing bus registration data using our Public Transport Data Management tool. This data supports a wide range of passenger information channels, including printed timetables, website content, roadside displays, real-time information systems, journey planners (both local and national), and travel apps. You will support six major scheduled service changes each year, as well as ongoing updates and seasonal variations - ensuring accuracy and meeting strict deadlines throughout. The Role Reporting into Senior Digital Media Officer, your key responsibilities will include: * Act as the first point of contact for incoming bus service registration data, performing initial checks, summarising key changes, and inputting this into the central database to trigger internal workflows and support effective resource allocation. * Liaise with bus operators and internal departments to resolve data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of passenger-facing information across all channels. * Review and validate colleagues’ timetable work for clarity and accuracy, translate complex service changes into customer-friendly formats, and support the production of printed roadside displays at our Batley facility. * Please review the Role Profile on our website for more information about the responsibilities. About You You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience: * Educated to A Level or equivalent relevant education/ experience. * A working knowledge of the geography of West Yorkshire and its public transport network. * Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role. * Experience of developing and applying processes and systems and practical experience of interpreting, validating and processing Real Time data to tight deadlines.
