Contract: Permanent, 33 hours per week, Days shifts
Salary: £12.75 - £14.35 per hour (depending on experience)

Overview
Parkside care home offers comfortable nursing and residential care for anyone over 18. Short stay options are available for recovery or respite. The home provides palliative and Parkinson’s care. The purpose-built home is spacious and well maintained with a neighbourhood feel, enclosed gardens, and en suite bedrooms with 24-hour call systems. Dishes are balanced and nutritious, freshly prepared daily, and tailored to individual preferences. Residents are encouraged to stay active with weekly clubs and opportunities to learn new skills. Onsite facilities include an on-site hairdresser and visiting mobile library.

Role purpose
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will drive a team of Care Assistants, deliver high-quality, personal care, and inspire, develop, and nurture staff to perform at their best every day. You will receive training on digital care and ongoing professional development in clinical and social care topics.
Key responsibilities
* Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
* Issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate records
* Lead and manage a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for shift handovers
* Assist with training and supervision of new staff to ensure they feel welcomed and supported
* Build relationships with residents, their families, and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
* Assist residents with a range of personal care duties
Key skills / qualifications
* Completed or working towards NVQ3 in care; support available to complete qualification
* Motivated, positive with strong interpersonal skills; able to contribute to CQC responsibilities
* Previous experience in the role; passion for making a real difference with kindness, personalised support and dignity
