Job Overview
As a Clinic Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the Manager in ensuring that our service and patients' needs are met through delivery of high-quality care. We have one full-time position available in the Glaucoma Service at City Road. You will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary outpatients team, delivering excellent customer service and a professional, comprehensive and efficient reception and administration service to the Trust’s outpatient clinics at Moorfields, City Road. You will work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team; a key member of staff; manage designated clinics in line with agreed clinic profiles; first point of contact for patients within the clinic area.
Main Duties
* Provide effective clinic management, reducing over-booking and ensuring a positive experience for patients.
* Deliver a professional, comprehensive and efficient reception and administration service to outpatient clinics.
* Promote a positive image of the Trust’s outpatient services through excellent customer service to patients, relatives/carers and external stakeholders.
* Ensure high standards of data entry and quality across paper and electronic record-keeping.
* Adhere to the Trust’s Access Policy at all times.
* Work as part of a large administrative team and provide cross-cover as required.
* Actively reduce no‑show appointments by confirming follow‑up appointments face‑to‑face where possible.
* Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) set for the outpatient service.

Person Specification
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (Essential criteria)
* Proficient in MS Office IT software packages (e.g., Excel, Word).
* Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Appreciation and awareness of the Data Protection Act.
* Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and maintain excellent working relationships with staff at various levels.
* Ability to prioritise.
* Ability to work independently and take responsibility for day-to-day workload.
Experience (Essential criteria)
* Administrative experience.
Experience (Desirable criteria)
* Experience of working in a busy and demanding customer‑facing role.
Education & Qualifications (Essential criteria)
* Educated to GCSE level (including English and Maths to GCSE A‑C) or equivalent qualifications.

* Evidence of continuing education and development.
