An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Ward Manager to lead our Labour Ward and Maternity Theatres within the Women & Childrens Unit at NHS Forth Valley.
About the Role
As Ward Manager, you will provide professional leadership and ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. You will oversee clinical standards, staff development, and resource management, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to maintain safe and effective maternity services.
About You
We are seeking a forward-thinking Registered Midwife significant registration experience. You should demonstrate:
Strong leadership and communication skills
A commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice
Excellent clinical knowledge and IT proficiency
Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and lead a diverse team
A degree-level qualification is desirable, along with recent CPD and familiarity with current clinical guidelines.
This senior role involves supporting midwives, maternity care assistants, nursery nurses, and healthcare support workers, while contributing to the wider clinical leadership across the organisation.
