Role overview: You will support the General Manager in achieving objectives and assist in specific project areas. You will help implement the Places Leisure Safe Manual and maintain a high-profile, shop-floor presence with strong interaction with staff and customers. You will ensure staff are trained correctly to the appropriate level and delivering the expected level of service, monitor performance through meetings and development appraisals, and oversee day-to-day maintenance and cleaning within the centre while coordinating and overseeing the performance of Duty Managers.
Responsibilities
* Support the General Manager in achieving objectives and assisting in specific project areas.
* Assist with implementing the Places Leisure Safe Manual and maintaining a high profile shop-floor presence with staff and customers.
* Ensure staff are trained correctly to the appropriate level and deliver the expected level of service to clients at all times; monitor staff performance through meetings and performance development appraisals.
* Oversee day-to-day maintenance and cleaning within the centre and assist the General Manager in coordinating and overseeing the performance of Duty Managers.
About You / Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role, ideally within a leisure/hospitality environment.
* Experience supervising teams and managing them to KPIs; able to evidence at interview how you have motivated teams to deliver consistently.
* Background in a customer-facing role and a track record of hitting targets to achieve individual and team targets.
* Able to lead from the front, comfortable showing prospective members around the site as well as motivating a team.
* Level 2 Fitness Qualification (desirable) to complete Fitness Inductions when needed.
