Rate: £90–£110 per day

About the Role
We are recruiting a Primary SEMH Teacher to support pupils within an alternative provision setting in South Shields. The role involves delivering a nurturing, engaging curriculum while supporting pupils’ emotional development and re-engagement with learning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver creative, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
2. Support pupils with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges.
3. Establish consistent routines and expectations.
4. Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
5. Work collaboratively with support staff and families.
Skills & Experience
6. QTS essential.
7. Experience supporting SEMH pupils is highly desirable.
8. Patient, nurturing and adaptable teaching style.
9. Strong commitment to inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
