About the Role An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Production Scheduler, within our Dundee manufacturing site. The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources, on-time delivery, and alignment with customer demand. This role works collaboratively with production shop floor management team and Supply Chain planners to balance capacity, materials, and labour while minimizing downtime and delays. Key Accountabilities: Generating and allocating Works Orders to ensure that the correct Process Instructions are issued to relevant internal departments. Creating production schedules in line with SIOP capacity planning. Analysing and reporting progress against plans, identifying critical risks and delays to agreed delivery dates. Liaison with key stakeholders to ensure their understanding of all aspects of schedule collating and reporting. Contribute to enhancements of planning processes and systems, which include performing system checks and tests and developing reports. Ensures planning processes and methods are followed and updated as needed. Comply with all company local and global policies Perform any other duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by Company management. Update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules Coordinate with production managers to align schedules with capacity, labour, and equipment availability Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or priority changes Communicate schedule changes clearly to manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics teams Ensure materials and components are available to support production plans Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to improve workflow and efficiency Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, utilization, and schedule adherence Support continuous improvement initiatives related to the scheduling processes Qualifications Graduated in Business; Finance; Supply Chain & Logistics; or can demonstrate equivalent experience within a production / supply chain environment Knowledge/Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience or knowledge of Production within a busy Manufacturing environment Experience of logistics, materials or production planning for manufacturing Thorough attention to detail, without losing sight of the big picture Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks Good interpersonal skills Knowledge of SAP functions (EVO/ERP/MRP) and PC packages (MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel) Excellent organisational, planning and administrative abilities Determination to see jobs through to completion Ability to work accurately and within strict deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills
