* A proven background working in fresh food led kitchens, be it in hotel, gastro pub or a restaurant setting

* Have experience working within a medium sized team, and have the skills to enthuse & engage junior chefs
* Experience running the kitchen in Heads chefs absence
* A keen eye for seasonal produce & experience in menu planning, stock control & kitchen management
* Have means of transport due to semi-rural location, although the Inn is commutable from York & Malton, & live in is available.
