FAA A&P Mechanics | Long-Term Contract | East Midlands Airport (EMA)
We’re excited to present a long-term opportunity for experienced FAA A&P Mechanics to work on the iconic Queen of the Skies – the B747 at East Midlands Airport (EMA) in the UK.
This role offers the chance to join a leading maintenance operation with flexible shifts, competitive pay rates, and experience working on wide-body aircraft in a supportive environment.
Location: East Midlands Airport, United Kingdom
Position: FAA A&P Mechanic
Aircraft Experience: 747-400 experience preferred; other wide-body experience considered
Contract Type: Long-term, ongoing
Start Date: Immediate and rolling throughout the year
Pay Rates: Updated competitive rates
Requirements:
* Valid FAA A&P license
* Hands-on experience with commercial aircraft maintenance (wide-body preferred)
* Knowledge of B747 systems (CF6 or PW4000 experience is a plus)
* Must be eligible to work in the UK
* Ability to follow technical data, maintenance manuals, and complete documentation accurately
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
* Flexibility to work day/night shifts and weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine and non-routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
* Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify faults and carry out corrective actions.
* Ensure accurate and complete maintenance documentation.
* Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and airworthiness standards.
* Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other mechanics for aircraft turnaround.
