We're in search of a dynamic Network Manager to lead and oversee a recently awarded EPSRC-funded project in Automatic Control Engineering. This role serves as a central hub for coordinating collaborative research endeavours, orchestrating events, and ensuring the seamless functioning of our network. It presents a chance for you to make a substantial impact on cutting-edge research while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in the realm of Automatic Control Engineering and its wide-ranging applications.

As the Network Manager, you will take charge of accurately planning, executing, and administering all aspects of the network. This encompasses budget control, events management, a comprehensive communication strategy that includes website development and management, community engagement, coordination with fellow Network Managers, engagement with and reporting to UKRI-EPSRC, and building relationships with stakeholders.

Your pivotal role extends to connecting researchers and orchestrating engagement with key strategic stakeholders, including policy makers, industry, institutions, and the wider community. By facilitating collaboration, you ensure the network's goals are not just met, but exceeded.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Knowledge and understanding of University practices in relation to research management, innovation and partnership development
• Experience of managing complex projects to successful completion
• Analytical skills to manage and project budgets, manage and control risk, draw conclusions and make recommendations to the project team
• Extensive project management experience in a Higher Education and/or development environment
• Managing large, high profile, complex events, workshops, conferences etc
• Substantial experience of partnership working and managing potentially conflicting priorities and different types of people
• Experience of working with very senior, key decision makers across sector

Desirable
• Knowledge of project legacy planning, grant applications and business/ bid development
• Knowledge of project management and collaboration tools (e.g. Mindview, Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint etc.)
• Knowledge of Automatic Control Engineering or similar academic area
• Knowledge of ESPRC funding and reporting requirements and Practices

Qualifications
• Educated to degree level (or can show equivalent experience)
