We are looking for 2 motivated and committed Housing Advice Officers to join our Housing and Homeless Prevention team.
This is an exciting opportunity to help prevent and relieve homelessness across North Lincolnshire by providing timely advice, support and practical housing solutions to individuals and families.
You will manage a caseload of people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, complete assessments, develop personalised housing plans, and work with landlords, families, support agencies and partner organisations to secure positive outcomes.
The role will involve investigating homelessness applications, providing housing options advice, arranging temporary accommodation where required, attending multi-agency meetings, and ensuring the council meets its statutory duties under homelessness legislation.
We are looking for someone who can work well under pressure, manage competing priorities, communicate effectively, and work with people in difficult or complex circumstances. You will need good IT skills, strong record-keeping ability, and a commitment to delivering a person-centred and strength-based service.
You must be willing to work towards a relevant Chartered Institute of Housing qualification and be able to travel across North Lincolnshire when required.
