General Description of Position Under the general direction and supervision of the Chief Information Officer, this individual will lead and have responsibility for the Information Systems team and be a key member of the College’s IT Leadership team. The position will be responsible for the College’s portfolio of Ellucian Colleague ERP System and related applications, web portal, and web development and support of the College’s reporting and data needs. Works closely with college entities on project planning, prioritization, implementation, and ongoing support of IT initiatives. The individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the enterprise. This is a full-time regular position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for managing, maintaining, and expanding the College’s Ellucian
Colleague ERP Systems and related applications, including but not limited to Colleague, SharePoint Web Portal, Ellucian Experience, CRM Recruit, CRM Advise, Self Service, Informer, ZogoTech data warehouse, eTranscripts, People Admin, and other related systems.
2. Supervises and evaluates all full-time and/or part-time staff in the Information Systems team in day-to-day operations. Develops plans for the professional development of the staff to ensure they stay knowledgeable in their respective fields and conduct recruitment, selection, and hiring of employees under their supervision.
3. Responsible for web development and portal development to support the needs of the college.
4. Responsible for the proper setup, use, and security of the integration of the Colleague API and Ethos
5. Responsible for user access and privileges to Colleague and other Information Systems.
6. Responsible for providing technical support for Institutional Research, Students Services, and Public Information offices
7. Provides project management for new software initiatives.
8. Maintains an inventory of and ensures compliance with software licensing for respective areas.
9. Manage the Software Maintenance/Support Renewal process.
10. Management of annual operating budgets, purchasing processes and active participation in setting budgetary priorities for upcoming years.
11. Participates in IT Strategic Planning.
12. Provide support for Canvas LMS, educational technologies, and instructional design staff as needed.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
17. Represents the IT Department to external and internal groups and committees.
18. Value and take advantage of professional growth opportunities and activities that keep the employees technically current regarding job responsibilities.
19. Provide presentations, updates and training to IT’s constituents as needed.
20. Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Information Officer and the Vice President for Technology.
21. May be required to perform associated duties, functions, or assignments in other divisions/programs/areas as required.
22. Perform other College functions and duties as assigned.
23. Must be able to work varied days, hours, shifts, locations, and campuses as required. Work schedules (hours/days/work location) are scheduled by Southeast Community College based on the needs of the College. Work hours, shifts, days, and work locations may vary depending on the needs of Southeast Community College and are subject to modification. Emergency or scheduled special activities may require hours outside of the regular workweek.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
24. Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague or similar student information systems.
25. Knowledge of Web Development technologies and languages.
26. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Database Systems.
27. Demonstrated ability to provide strong customer service skills and communicate with all levels of staff from advanced technical staff to administrative and support staff.
28. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing, in person, and on the phone.
29. Ability to use basic computer skills.

SCHEDULE
Normal working hours for this position are scheduled between 7:00a.m. and 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday requiring a minimum of a 40 hour work week. Special projects and assignments and troubleshooting may require evening and weekend work as needed. This is a full time regular position based on a 260 day work calendar. Minimum Qualifications
31. Associate’s Degree in a related field*
32. Four (4) years of progressive experience within a large-scale information technology organization.
33. Demonstrated knowledge of any or all of the following: Database Systems, Programming, Ellucian Colleague, and related applications.
