Senior Director, Global Long-Acting Market Development Strategy, ViiV Healthcare
ViiV Healthcare, a leading pharmaceutical company focused on HIV treatment and prevention, is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic senior marketing leader specializing in category development and market building. ViiV have a bold ambition to end the HIV epidemic and believe that new long-acting therapies can transcend perceptions of therapies today to transform the market. Whilst ‘brand building’ will grow market share of our medicines today, we believe an effective market shaping strategy can enable a belief shift to transform to a more receptive market, one that recognises and values the broad benefits of long-acting treatment and long-acting PrEP. We are committed to a significant and sustained investment to realise our ambitious goals.
Our long-acting strategies are centered on:
* amplifying the unmet need and strengthening the LA value proposition to activate HCPs, payers and policy makers
* establishing a LA “movement” of educators and influencers of the future
* empower PLHIV to initiate conversations with HCPs for greater treatment satisfaction
In this critical role, you will drive the vision, strategy and initiatives for ViiV that will grow the long-acting market for HIV medicines in treatment and prevention, positioning us for sustained global long-acting leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Market development involves strategic efforts to shape and mould a market’s trajectory by innovating products, services, business models and new market segments, ultimately shaping medicine choice, preference and market dynamics.
* Set ambition, direction, develop strategies and an executable implementation framework
* Collaborate with broad stakeholders across Regions, Medical, Market Access, R&D, Corporate Affairs to drive growth and expansion of long-acting penetration in core markets
* Establish a robust landscape assessment of market trends, competitor activity and regulatory landscapes to inform strategic decisions.
* Define and refine the market positioning and messaging to ensure alignment with ViiV Healthcare’s overall strategy and business objectives
* Build and lead a high-performing global marketing team, providing motivation, focus, care and development to drive excellence in execution and achieve team goals.
* Lead a direct and cross-functional team to create an impactful campaign, materials and partnership engagement model
* Determine appropriate metrics and key performance indicators to track and monitor the effectiveness of strategy, making data-driven decisions to optimize strategies
* Cultivate a culture of accountability, ambition for patients and trust to do the right thing while pursing innovation

* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
* Amazing progressive marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a focus on global markets, strategy, and market development.
* Proven track record of successfully shaping markets and developing strategies that drive category growth
* Understanding of the HIV therapeutic landscape, healthcare policies, and regulatory environment
* Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate and influence a broad and diverse set of stakeholders
* Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate and influence at all organizational levels
