Senior Design Manager – Leading Tier 1 main contractor – Major project - Surrey This leading Tier 1 contractor has a potentially long-term freelance opportunity for a minimum contract of 9months for a Senior Design Manager, on a major new build project in Surrey. For this Senior Design Manager role,you will be involved from the start of the project, based initially in the regional office of this Tier 1 contractor. When the project commences on site, you will move to being 4 days with the site team and 1 day working remotely or the office. The project is a new build student accommodation project of circa £80m value which is associated with another new education building which is well underway. You will as a Senior Design Manager oversee the Design Management for the student accommodation project and have assistance of a Design Manager and document Controller. You will report to the Project Director and have regular progress meetings with the Regional Design Manager. This Senior Design Manager position will be to support the current project team with all design tasks. Your initial task will be work on CDP and identify key tasks to be carried out.
