We are currently seeking passionate Childrens Residential Support Workers to join our exceptional team, dedicated to empowering young people to achieve transformative and lasting positive outcomes. We are working with a residential home in March rated Good by Ofsted and are home environments that exceeds the needs of children and young people. The children are aged 10 to 17 years old. You should be passionate for children and young peoples well-being and have a caring and patient nature. Shifts can be any of the following: 0700 1430 | 1430 2200 | 0700 2200 | 2130 0730 nights offer sleep and waking night shifts. Responsibilities Ensure all issues relating to safeguarding of vulnerable children are reported according to policies and procedures and in accordance with the safeguarding policy. To react in emergency situations quickly and efficiently and to ensure the wellbeing of the young children/people and others. Promote young peoples involvement in all areas including service delivery, quality assurance and organisational development. Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with both internal colleagues and external bodies alike. Requirements Able to demonstrate an understanding of social emotional and behavioural difficulties and how these may impact the lives of the young people that we support. Empowering, approachable and resilient workers who can inspire young people to engage in all aspects of their daily routine Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. The ability to build strong relationships from the outset is most important Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
