Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: Baywatch Resort, Sernabatim, South Goa
Department: F&B Production
Reports To: Executive Chef / Head Chef

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
* Supervise and coordinate the kitchen staff, ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness of meals.
* Train and mentor kitchen team members to improve skills and maintain standards.
* Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in accordance with food safety standards.
* Assist in menu planning, costing, and development of seasonal dishes.
* Step into the role of Executive Chef during their absence.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
* Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or relevant role in a high-volume kitchen.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
* Leadership and team management skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand for long periods.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced environment.
