Overview
Retail Store Assistant (Sheffield, Ecclesall Road) – part time 15 hours per week. Salary: £12.21 per hour plus benefits. Reports to: Shop manager. Department: Trading. Location: Sheffield, Ecclesall Road Shop. Closing date: 12th October 2025 23:55 (may close earlier if requested). Must be eligible to work in the UK; Cancer Research UK cannot offer visa sponsorship.
What you’ll be doing
* Overseeing the running of the shop, including taking keyholder responsibility (training provided) and supporting a team of volunteers.
* Assisting the wider shop team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
* Reviewing and processing donated goods and new stock.
* Generating ideas to help create new income, with guidance from the Shop Manager.
* Using customer service skills to ensure customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
* Maintaining shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.
* Performing manual handling and physical activities as required by day-to-day duties.
