SEN Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2 (Year 5)
Are you a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in a child’s school journey? A welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Barnet is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a delightful Year 5 pupil with an EHCP.
This is a rewarding role for someone who thrives on building positive relationships. Reading is at the heart of the curriculum, recognised as a core skill that unlocks learning across all subjects. You’ll be joining a supportive, collaborative team in a school with excellent facilities and a warm, inclusive ethos.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing tailored 1:1 SEN support throughout the school day
• Supporting emotional regulation and engagement with learning
• Encouraging independence, confidence and a love of reading
• Working closely with class teachers and SEN staff
Ideal candidates will be:
• Patient, empathetic and proactive
