Sr. Software Engineer - Sensors Team (Remote, GBR)
CrowdStrike is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer for the Sensors Team. The role focuses on building the endpoint sensor that deploys on Windows, Mac, and Linux, with ownership over major components and development projects. You will assist with architecting solutions and implementing core features that cross-cut core OS subsystems such as file systems, memory and process, and networking. You will lead projects efficiently, maximize performance, and ensure high standards for design, coding quality, and unit and component testing. Location: Remote within the UK.
What You’ll Do
* Provide partnership in the Windows kernel mode sensor development team involved in architecture, strategy, and building/improving next-generation Anti-Virus and Security software.
* Participate in detection and response security software efforts.
* Develop new product concepts.
* Support development teams in designing and building cross-platform software (Windows, Mac, Linux).
* Own features from design to delivery, including participation in product demos at the end of the sprint.
* Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations.
What You’ll Need
* In-depth knowledge of C++ and Windows OS Kernel Development.
* Strong low-level OS internals experience in Windows, Mac OS, or Linux.
* Experience debugging memory corruptions, process contentions and system performance.
* Experience shipping major features and releases with teams.
* Ability to lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team.
Preferred Requirements
* OS system expertise for core concepts and subsystems such as WFP, TCP/IP, USB, and file systems.
* Knowledge in Security.
* Strong background in scalable, lightweight, and highly performing systems.
* Familiarity with Agile processes.
* Familiarity with Git or other source control systems.
