SEND Outreach Worker Location: Calderdale (Hybrid working – mix of home, council offices, and educational settings across the borough) Contract: Fixed term – 1 year (initially) Hours: 37 hours per week Working pattern: Full-time, term time only Pay: £125 per day (PAYE) £165 per day (Umbrella) About the Role Calderdale Council is seeking a dedicated SEND Specialist Outreach Worker (SEMH Specialism) to support the inclusion and success of children and young people (CYP) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across mainstream education settings. This is a key frontline role focused on building capacity in schools, improving outcomes for learners with complex needs, and ensuring high-quality, consistent SEND practice across the borough. You will work directly with schools, families, and children and young people to promote inclusive practice and ensure that support is timely, effective, and legally compliant.
