Current Paediatric Rheumatology consultant team comprises Dr Kathy Bailey, Dr Akhila Kavirayani, Dr Pam Dawson, Dr Inga Turtsevich (locum), and a well-established clinical team working in key areas of Paediatric Rheumatology and Chronic Pain.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will join a well-established multidisciplinary team providing a comprehensive paediatric rheumatology and chronic pain service for the Thames Valley and surrounding region. The appointee will work closely with consultants and allied professionals from the Children’s Hospital Oxford, as well as other DGHs throughout the region. There are close links with the adult rheumatology service. The appointee will also be part of the regional Chronic Pain service, providing outpatient and intensive day case services to young people and families regionally and beyond.
We seek a candidate with appropriate clinical and leadership abilities. The post-holder will be fully supported by a friendly, busy department and encouraged to participate in research and academic development. Close links with the University of Oxford offer excellent opportunities for research interests in various areas.

Oxford Paediatric Adolescent Rheumatology Centre (OxPARC) is a nationally recognized specialised paediatric rheumatology service, established in [Year missing], providing secondary care for Thames Valley and tertiary referral for Northern South Central and neighboring areas. The service emphasizes one-stop clinics with a full multidisciplinary team including ophthalmology.
Oxford also provides a comprehensive chronic pain service (OXCYPP) with outpatient assessment and inpatient rehabilitation programs.
