Electrician – Commercial Permanent 40k plus van, fuel card.
A leading provider of building maintenance and improvement services to social housing providers and public bodies across the UK, who specialise in retrofit and energy efficiency upgrades, responsive repairs, voids, and disrepair (including damp & mould), refurbishment and project works, mechanical and electrical (M&E) services, commercial building maintenance and planned maintenance are looking to recruit a Commercial an Electrician to join their team in Cardiff .
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified electrician with AM2 to join a fantastic team to assist with projects covering NHS, healthcare, public building and you will be working on responsive repair projects.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
* Perform routine electrical repairs, installations, and upgrades in social housing properties
* Install and maintain electrical systems including lighting, sockets, distribution boards, heating systems, and fire alarms
* Respond to tenant-reported faults efficiently and with excellent customer service.
* Work in void properties to prepare them for re-letting, ensuring full electrical compliance
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
* Collaborate with other trades and contractors as part of a wider property maintenance team.
* Maintain a professional and respectful demeanour while working in tenants’ homes.
Qualifications/Experience:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
* City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection and Testing) – preferred.
* Proven experience in domestic electrical work, ideally within social or residential housing.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong understanding of current electrical safety standards and building regulations.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
