Salary: £42,000 - 54,000 per year Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in the software development field Experience with ISTQB approach and standards Proficient in the creation and execution of system integration, regression, and non-functional tests Familiarity with automated testing tools, including Windows UI testing Experience testing complex systems built using modern programming languages Ability to work in environments with regular builds, unit tests, and software integration testing Solid understanding of system fault-finding and diagnosing at the hardware or software level Knowledge of version control, change control, and code quality control processes Experience using test management or ALM tools like TFS, Jira, Siemens Polarion, MS Test Manager, and HP Quality Centre/ALM Familiarity with defect management tools for monitoring and retesting defects Responsibilities: Conduct independent, third-party testing of application software produced within the software group Test applications that integrate control over physical automated systems Ensure testing is delivered on schedule while adhering to guidance from the lead test engineer Produce and maintain system test plans and manual test cases Execute software testing on desktop PCs, emulated platforms, and real systems Classify and report faults discovered in releases Follow through to resolution of all faults identified in the software Liaise with software designers and developers to comprehend business requirements and product functionality Support the development and definition of standards and processes for software testing in projects and product developments, aligned with ISTQB standards Assist in assessing and introducing testing techniques and tools Collaborate with Testing Staff, including Test Engineers and Test Managers Assist the project team during the software integration phase, ensuring timely resolution of any faults identified Technologies: Hardware ISTQB Support JIRA Windows UX UI Design More: We are a fast-growing Engineering company seeking a Software Tester to join our team on an initial 12-month contract, working outside IR35.
