They are responsible for the design of all the mechanical and electrical functions within buildings such as HVAC, lighting, hot and cold water systems, plant rooms, access control, fire alarm systems and data coms. These functions can be applied to almost every type of building so you could be working on the design of buildings in any of the following sectors commercial, retail, leisure, industrial and hotels.
